Burning Man 2008

Burning Man's theme this year was "The American Dream".
Conexus' project this year was The Radiance Factory - we sponsored the BM Artery's Eyes On Art Project which entailed roving patrols that provided free LED lights to inadequately lighted art on the playa. So, if you saw a playa art project titled, for example, "The Rebar Man" or "The Impaler" AND it was lit with caution lights, you have us to thank for it.

Elene's Durian Tasting

At work, Elene, our resident food expert dragged us out to sample some tasty durian. Banned in 147 countries, the Durian has rightfully received notoriety for being the most dangerous fruit in the world, with falling durians responsible for more deaths worldwide than black mamba bites. Elene had obtained this particular specimen from John Loo, the notorious durian-pusher and purveyor of all manner of things bizarre.
